AHA Basic Life Support Class

Our AHA Basic Life Support Class gives neighbors, caregivers, and workers the skills to respond calmly and correctly when every second counts. Taught to American Heart Association standards and offered at a reduced price, this course opens the door for people who might otherwise feel they cannot afford lifesaving training.

During class, you learn and practice high‑quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, including how to use an AED. We walk you through what to look for, what to say, and what to do from the moment you notice someone in trouble, so you are not frozen by fear or uncertainty. We use clear demonstrations, realistic practice, and repeated hands‑on drills until the steps feel more natural.

Because many participants are family caregivers, church volunteers, or community leaders, we take time to answer practical questions about real‑life situations you may face-in the home, at work, or at community gatherings. You will receive official BLS certification upon successful completion, which can also support current or future employment in healthcare and caregiving roles.

We offer classes in group settings and, when possible, partner with churches, community centers, and local organizations to make attendance easier for rural residents. The reduced course cost and local access mean more people in our community can become prepared responders instead of bystanders.

The benefit reaches far beyond the classroom. When more neighbors know how to perform CPR and use an AED, cardiac arrests and breathing emergencies have a better chance of ending in survival rather than tragedy. You leave with a card in your wallet and, more importantly, the confidence in your hands and mind to act quickly if someone's life is on the line.
