Fall Prevention Education

$15.00
Fall Prevention Education is designed to help you or your loved one stay steady, safe, and independent at home for as long as possible. We understand that one serious fall can change everything, especially for older adults or anyone living with chronic illness, so we focus on practical steps that lower risk without taking away dignity.

In our interactive sessions, we walk through common hazards room by room-loose rugs, poor lighting, cluttered walkways, hard‑to‑reach items-and show you simple changes that make a big difference. We also discuss footwear, safe ways to get in and out of bed or chairs, and how to move around confidently in and outside the home.

We teach and practice gentle strength and balance exercises that can be done with a chair or countertop for support. These movements are chosen for real bodies with real limitations, not for athletes in a gym. You receive easy‑to‑follow printouts so you can continue the exercises safely between visits.

When needed, we talk about medications, vision, dizziness, and chronic conditions that may affect balance. We can suggest when it may be wise to discuss adjustments with your healthcare provider. We also show families how to support safer movement without accidentally increasing dependence.

For some households, we may recommend simple equipment, such as grab bars, shower seats, or walkers, and can guide you toward low‑cost durable medical equipment options if financial concerns are a barrier.

The benefit is peace of mind: fewer close calls, more confidence standing and walking, and a stronger sense of security for both the person at risk and the family who loves them. Preventing one fall can mean preserving independence, avoiding hospitalization, and staying in the comfort of home.
